Why doing both matters
When the same person measures, cuts, stitches and works the design:
- The pattern is placed for your shape, not for a flat rectangle of cloth
- Neckline work lines up with the actual finished neckline, not an assumed one
- The motif on the sleeve sits where your arm is, rather than an inch too high
- Nothing has to be unpicked and redone because a seam ran straight through the design
- The blouse is worked before it is closed up where that gives a cleaner finish, and after where it does not

What to bring
Your blouse material, and either an old blouse that fits you well or your measurements written down. If you have neither, come and be measured.
If the blouse is being cut from a saree, bring the saree - the fall of the fabric and the border decide where the work should go.
Fit, honestly
A blouse that is beautifully worked and slightly tight is not a blouse you will wear twice. Measurements are taken properly, and if the material you have brought is not enough for the cut you want, you will be told before anything is cut rather than after.
Plain stitching too
Stitching without any embroidery is available if that is all you need - everyday blouses, plain lining blouses, a set of three from the same material. Aari work is what this is known for, but nobody is turned away for wanting a plain blouse stitched well.

What it will take, what it will cost, and whether it can be done in the time you have. If it cannot, you will be told that rather than strung along.

Measurements or a blouse that fits
Come and be measured, or send an old blouse that fits you well. Bring your own material - most customers do, and it costs less.

The work itself
The design is traced, the fabric stretched on a frame, and every bead, stone and length of zari worked in by hand. Two to three weeks for bridal work.

Ready to collect in Nagercoil, or sent to you anywhere in Kanyakumari district.
Questions people ask
- Do I need to come in person to be measured?
- Not necessarily. An old blouse that fits you well is the most reliable thing you can send, and more accurate than a tape reading taken at home. If you are near Nagercoil, being measured in person is worth the trip for a bridal blouse.
- Why have the stitching and the embroidery done together?
- Because the design is then placed for your finished blouse rather than for a flat piece of cloth. The neckline work lines up with the actual neckline, the sleeve motif sits where your arm is, and no seam runs through the middle of a design.
- Do you do plain stitching without any embroidery?
